As a Customer Service Specialist at Homes for Heroes you'll be the first point of contact for our customers when they need help or have questions, creating the very best experience for them when it matters most.  When customers contact us, they're searching for the solution to a problem.  That solution will be you directing or solving their problems with fast, helpful support.  This role is ideal for someone who takes a consultative approach to problem-solving, has fantastic written communication skills, and who can patiently empathize with customers throughout the day, ensuring each interaction is prompt, informative, friendly, and genuinely human.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer and respond to calls, online chats, and emails; ensuring every interaction with the customer is a positive one
  • You'll be the voice of our customers internally by tracking the types of requests and questions received most frequently, and communicating relevant customer information to staff and management
  • Provide backup, fill-in, and vacation support to other team members
  • First point of contact for vendors, candidates, and customers
  • Assist in team and board meeting arrangements, preparation, and scheduling
  • Work with other team members to troubleshoot and find answer and solutions to customer problems

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Ability to respond and react to internal and external customers
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication
  • Ability to multitask while prioritizing workload based on importance
  • High level of detail orientation and organizational skills
  • A sense of urgency about attaining and exceeding assigned goals
  • Ability to work in cooperation and collaboration with teammates across multiple functions
  • Displays excellent troubleshooting and creative problem solving skills, know when to act quickly
  • Ability to articulate needs for process improvements
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
