Position Overview:

The Arbitrage Managing Consultant will be the lead technical advisor to all clients and internal team members.  The person in this role will review client accounting records related to the business' investment of bond proceeds.  The Managing Consultant will work with the internal Municipal Advisors and external Bond Attorneys for opinions on arbitrage rules.  The person in this role will need to understand and execute the client requirements with an extremely high level of accuracy. 


  • Manage workflow and deadlines related to client work
  • Provides compliance and training to team members on technical aspects of arbitrage
  • Assist team members in all calculations and validate prior to signing off
  • Handles the organization of all contracts and tracking assignments provide and keep updates on internal company database
  • Collaborate with clients, municipal advisors, auditors, and other professionals on any discrepancies related to accounting documents
  • Develop and implement processes to increase success of services both internally and externally
  • Strengthen the teams' knowledge and education related to arbitrage and the laws
  • Collaborate with leadership on reviewing and establishing quality control standards for client work
  • Ensure all compliance reports for clients are updated with accurate IRS code
  • Review and provide all correspondents and amounts related to bond penalty for clients
  • Plan and execute strategic initiatives to the leadership team related to the arbitrage business
  • Handle the review and sign off on all reports, tax returns, IRS examination letters


  • 7 years of arbitrage experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • CPA license is preferred
  • Excellent understanding of the Internal Revenue Code related to arbitrage
  • Experience in directly managing a team
  • Knowledge of municipalities and how they manage their finances
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
