Position Overview
The Installation & Service Technicians are responsible for the development and implementation of various power installation and maintenance services. The person in these roles will provide services in the field at customer sites as well as in the corporate facility.


• Must be capable of performing the following work activities without supervision or direction:
o Addition or removal of common systems equipment and hardware
o Addition or removal of wiring connections on non-working equipment
o Lead verification and continuity testing
o Analysis of job specifications, drawings, and documentation
o Be able to provide work assignments to Skill Level 1 and 2 Installers
o Be proficient in preparing General, Detailed, and Combined Method of Procedure's (MOP's)
o Be proficient in preparing a Job Information Memorandum (JIM)
o Resolve job specification and/or drawing problems without assistance
o Mark and correct office record drawings
o Be able to perform in-process and final quality inspections
• Has capability of acting as job site manager
• Install/removes common system equipment/hardware, including wiring and connections on non working equipment.
• Adheres to the installation methods and standards per Telcordia GR-1275-CORE
• Demonstrates proper operation of basic tools and test equipment
• Supplies and organizes trucks with all equipment necessary to perform job functions at various sites.
• Proactively stays up to date on safety training, compliance and knowledge of HAZ MAT and DOT requirements
• Continually trains and develops to advance to next levels of Installation and Field Technician
• Conforms to all safety standards
• Perform other assignments as assigned



• Minimum of 3 years of experience or equivalent experience as determined by HMC management
• Ability to take direction, communication and supervision from upper levels of Installation and Field Technicians, Service Manager, and assigned Project Manager
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Excellent attendance record
