Position Overview:

Looking for an energetic and assertive B-to-B sales manager with a proven track record of driving sales through success in generating new business, managing a small-to-mid size sales team and building partner relationships.  The successful sales manager is responsible for directly managing accounts as well as leading a small but growing team of sales reps, to drive both short and long-term revenue growth.  As part of this role, the Sales Manager is expected to develop sales initiatives, a sales plan, establish targets for sales reps, create and implement a sales process and sales operating system and contribute as a key member of the senior management team.

 

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Directly responsible for the entire sales function and closely collaborating with internal stakeholders such as the CEO, Director of Finance, Director of Operations, and Sales team representatives
  • Work directly with sales partners who require project and managed service support
  • Build and maintain key relationships including those with C-suite executives in targeted SMB clients
  • Build the sales system by capturing a sales process, understanding best practices, forecasting and predicting results, and uncover company differentiators
  • Individual selling ability to build strategic relationships at al levels, gaining access to decision makers and leveraging referrals. Directly impacts revenue within assigned accounts
  • Coach/Mentor/Build the sales team that are early in their careers by assessing and making further recommendations for hiring/firing. Holds all sales representatives accountable, sets goals and drives the Sandler training methodology
  • Engages in 1:1 meetings (including listening to calls and/or ride-alongs) with sales reps to develop skills and to manage performance
  • Independently works as a company leader and follows guidelines for operations, strategy, profitability and supports the overall growth goals

 

Requirements:

  • Seasoned sales management experience (minimum of 3-5 years with demonstrated success meeting sales goals and growing sales) strongly preferred
  • Proven skills in selling in the technology services industry a plus, with experience in managed services ideal
  • Proven ability to directly sell intangible services
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • PC proficiency (Microsoft Office suite) required
  • Experience with CRM systems beneficial
