Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of experience managing an established QMS with knowledge of product development and manufacturing, quality/reliability engineering, quality assurance, corrective and preventive action processes.
  • Ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities and execute in a timely fashion. Must have direct experience with Quality Systems, developing and monitoring quality performance metrics.
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers a plus.
  • Work experience documenting situations clearly and concisely in written communications.
  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and purpose of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, Access a plus.
  • Work experience providing customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Develops strong partnerships across the organization.


Position Responsibilities:

LMA:  Lead, manage & assume accountability for overall performance of the Quality Services Department and TQMS Initiatives

  • Mentor, coach, train, encourage and recognize coworkers to facilitate their growth and development.
  • Ownership, management and evolution of the QMS system.
  • Responsible for leading, managing and reporting on all facets of Incoming Quality, In-process Quality and Finished Product Quality.
  • Manage staff in the areas of Document Control, Training, Product Quality, Supplier Quality and develop an EQMS (Electronic Quality Management System).
  • Delegate responsibility and projects to Quality Specialists based on their level of judgment and experience. Meet with individual employees on a regular basis to discuss, prioritize, and assign work and projects. Meet with functional group on a regular basis to discuss daily work, individual projects and departmental goals. Independently manage personnel development, annual performance reviews and performance issues with minimal guidance.

Responsible for continuous quality improvements in both process (SOPs) and product (standards) to ensure high quality deliverables through our Quality Assurance and Quality Process programs

  • Establish, maintain and continuously improve metrics, monitoring and reporting of quality data, including all quality inspections internally & externally.
  • Review and approve controlled documentation. Interpret and execute operating policies, procedures and directives for the company.
  • Lead and train others to develop effective corrective and preventive actions using Root Cause Problem Solving
  • Ensure processes are in place to manage non-conforming material.
  • Ensure cross department compliance and collaboration with Quality Management System.


Ensure the project/product management plan is being executed to required specifications, expected standards and generally accepted practice

  • Ensure that product design requirements are understood and that required quality controls are developed in accordance with project schedules, project costs and quality requirements. Participate in New Product Development project meetings, as needed.
  • Work closely with Sourcing and Supply Chain in developing and assuring supplier quality requirements.
  • Ensure that product design requirements are being met on purchased components, 3rd party manufacturing, outsourced product and assemblies using inspection, control and detection-based processes.
  • Initiate, revise, and review documents including SOPs, work instructions, specifications and reports.
  • Participate in 3rd party finished goods supplier qualification process when needed.


Oversee and manage process and compliancy for outside audits, QRQC and close the loop on execution

  • Conduct internal audits and work closely with production, maintenance and warehouse personnel to maintain a customer audit ready facility.
  • Provide guidance regarding best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote audit readiness, prepare quality teams and organization for audits by external bodies and take ownership of post audit follow-up and closing of corrective actions
  • Coordinate and provide leadership for all activities related to the QRQC (quality response for quality complaints) with the different departments of the organization, including customer product complaints and ensure appropriate corrective action is planned, implemented and managed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for annual Quality Management review.


Lead and manage 3rd party (and overseas) QA partners

  • Provide strategy direction and support to global operations around supplier quality management.
  • Oversee QA Partners/Associates.
  • Direct, review and approve overseas QA product reports.
  • Direct, review and manage vendor test reports.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to QA partners and suppliers for continuous process improvement measures.
