Position Overview:
The Director of Sales will work in alignment with our senior management team to carry out all job duties in accordance with the company's Mission and Core Values. The estimated division of time for this role is 50% focused on leading and managing the team, 30% focused on selling and 20% focused on strategic activities.

 

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the revenue, gross margin (in conjunction with the Director of Supply Chain) and new business growth of the industrial division.
  • Helping develop and implement strategic growth initiatives with the GM, including evaluating new product lines, providing direction on marketing content and initiatives, and managing key relationships with customers.
  • Build your own book of business with large revenue potential accounts. Rep involvement in those accounts will be at the discretion of the manager.

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 7 years of related sales and management work experience;
  • Proven track record of managing and grooming sales professionals;
  • Must possess strong analytical, systems and computer skills. Ability to calculate ratios, percentages, and mathematical computations involving whole numbers and fractions;
  • Ability to correctly interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and draw supportable conclusions;
  • Results Driven can be counted on to exceed goals successfully; steadfastly pushes self and others for results;
  • Strategic Agility broad knowledge and perspective; is future oriented; creates competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans that support growth objectives;

  • Process Management - Demonstrated skill at determining the processes necessary to get things done across a broad range of people; knows how to organize people and activities; knows what to measure and how to measure and can simplify complex processes.

  • Overnight travel approximately 20%.
