Opportunity Overview:

Our client has consistently been on the cutting edge of design, development, manufacturing and distribution within the window coverings industry. Given their many years of experience and knowledge they are able to deliver a wide range of product options, modern technologies and a high-level of service to their customers.

Today, our client has become the largest independent engineered component manufacturer and distributor in the industry. Their global operations now span the USA, Australia, and Europe, serving over 40 countries worldwide.

The Marketing Manager will oversee a global team of marketing professionals to efficiently execute marketing activities including product launch, digital and print communications along with internal and external event management. This individual will help develop strategy in relation to brand positioning, value proposition, and service offer. In addition, the Marketing Manager will execute global marketing strategies, plans and programs, both short and long term, to ensure compound profitable growth and expansion of the company's services offer.

 

Required Skills:

  • At least 5-7 years relevant marketing experience, ideally within window furnishings, property services or design industries.
  • This would include at least 2 years operating in a practical and hands on senior Marketing management role with significant direct team responsibility.
  • Proficiency in using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and associated plug-ins.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management.
  • Sound attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
  • High level of initiative, motivation, energy and a drive with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field, ideally combined with post graduate qualifications in Marketing, Business Management or similar.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Execute marketing strategies, plans and programs, both short and long term, to ensure compound profitable growth and expansion of the company's services offer;
  • Develop tools to support our sales team in delivering on the brand position and promise;
  • Manage all marketing projects, events and activities, reporting on progress to CMO;
  • Direct communication graphic creatives and written plans to respond to strategic direction established by the marketing team;
  • Ensure clear articulation and consistent communication of our client's desired brand position to all key stakeholders and constituencies, both internal and external;
  • In conjunction with managers and other stakeholders, develop, implement and regularly review a strategic Marketing Plan for domestic and overseas markets;
  • Research, monitor and advise on market, competitor, technological and demographic / social factors affecting our business so that market opportunities can be identified and capitalized on;
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing activities and objectives;
  • Direct EDM content for Australian, European and US regions;
  • Oversee SharePoint continual development, and direct continual internal communications;
  • Manage the planning, production and distribution of each regions product catalogue/price lists;
  • Oversee development and implementation of support materials and services;
  • Coach others on the effective use of our brand in all customer interactions;
  • Lead, support and coach the marketing team throughout the execution of marketing campaigns and projects;
  • Other duties as may be required from time to time; the incumbent is expected to contribute to the full extent of his/her skill and ability.
